Vin /vɛ̃/ — French for wine. Floria — a world in bloom.
Wine and flowers—two words that have stayed close to my heart for a long time. It all began with flowers, studying floral design and running my studio in Northern California.
While designing wedding flowers at wineries, I found myself deeply captivated by the surrounding vineyards. It was there, in Napa Valley, that wine and flowers first came together in my life. That quiet yet compelling pull led me to study wine professionally and eventually build a career as a wine educator and writer.
My journey through wine has spanned countless regions: chasing harvests, exploring historic cellars, and listening to the stories of winemakers wherever the craft has taken me. Here, I’d love to share these experiences with anyone who appreciates fine wine and an inspired life.
Beyond this journal, my upcoming projects include an essay book and a Substack newsletter, further explorations of wine, flowers, and the connections between them.
Rooted in my Korean heritage, some of my posts explore Korea’s rich history, traditions, and gastronomy through the lens of wine and flowers. Additionally, you can find me on YouTube, where I talk about wine in Korean.
